This came across one of the forums I participate on, its a 2013 Mustang GT/CS A6. The owner just wrapped up a Hellion twin turbo install. Right now its on low boost, tuned for E85. He's putting some miles on it before hitting the dyno but he tuned it himself so he can still drive it.
Just for good measure, here are a few shots of the car itself
Makes me kinda mad that even on the SN95 or fox body cars, you can cram twin turbos in, but even a single turbo on a panther is a bit of a chore. I think I would have done a single turbo over a supercharger on my marauder just for the cool factor, but oh well.

That thing is sweet. I usually lurk that forum. There's some awesome cars on that forum.

It's automatic?

Most of the builds on that site are no joke, and to have a "fast" car it better be running 9's or better. Totally different environment compared to where I hang out in panther platform land, and thats why I am on there all the time.

turbos are better with an auto, lets be honest. No boost drop between gears
Would I have bought an auto? No, but having driven a few A6 auto 2011+ mustangs, its a very good trans. Far more refined from the 4R70W in my marauder.

I wonder when that slushbox is going to grenade its self from the glorious power of those air squishers.

Why just have two?

the 6R80 is actually a stout trans, so I don't expect that to happen at all.

Well I didn't know that, I don't really follow the new ford auto boxes, but i've torn into plenty 4R100's, 4R70's and 5R55s' that just start slipping with the stock 5.4 and 4.6 power. So I don't know but high horsepower and autoboxes just don't really equate in my brain. Hopefully the new tranny's hold up well to lots of power.

I'm running 436rwhp through my stock 4R75W which has 84k miles on it, no problems.
The 4R's are stout transmissions, I've heard issues about the 5R's with shift flares and other shit.

the 4R's generally had issues with the valve bodies if i remember and the 5R's had issues with the wet clutches getting worn and slipping. I guess when it comes down to it I'd rather have a valve body get angry and stop working correctly than have a slipping wet clutch.

Better for the strip and not cocking up your boost with a missed shift.

Car craft did an article on another black one a while back. Cant remember what the month was though

Even the 5r55 can take abuse. Swap out the converter and input shaft. JDM in NJ does just that and add a cooler. 700RWHP repeatedly without breaking.
Look up J-mod for a 4r70W.

One day mustang owners will figure out what wheels to put on the S197 chasis. One day. But not this day.
![]() 09/18/2013 at 16:08 |

those wheels probably cost more than your entire car, I wouldn't talk shit about true forged wheels
![]() 09/18/2013 at 16:19 |

Are true forged goons going to come and get me? No. Do those wheels cost more than my car? Yes. Can I get to work with just four wheels and nothing attached? No. Am I a die hard ford fan? Yes. Did you know that? No. Do you know me? No.
I am just saying I don't like them. Don't tell me what to do. To avoid this snarky response you are getting you could say: "I disagree. I like the wheels. I bet they cost a pretty penny as well. And further more true forged makes a great product."

What wheel/tire size and springs are used?

I don't know the specifics but I know they are 19" wheels
